MacDonald, Ian
I'm a human resource and organisation development consultant who has lived and worked in Central Europe since 1991. In this time I've worked with many leading companies to resolve challenging development issues in most areas of business and administration. My primary professional interest is in "development that leads to measureable performance improvement" and despite many humbling experiences, I retain considerable enthusiasm for "helping clients to develop and achieve tomorrow what they can't achieve today". In addition to my core consulting activities, I have established the distribution of HRDQ training materials in CE; led numerous Hungarian delegations to the ASTD Annual Conference; and helped hundreds of students obtain professional qualifications in business administration (Open Business School, UK, and ESSCA, Fr). I previously held advisory and management positions with Proudfoot Consulting, an international management consulting firm, and with Shin-Etsu Handotai, the world's largest manufacturer of silicon products. I received my MSc. in Training and Performance Management from Leicester University in the UK.
